Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a problem solving

As examples of these problems we can mention anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and/or drug abuse. The two earlier types of psychotherapies from which CBT was developed from are:
- Cognitive therapy, is designed to change people’s way of thinking, their beliefs, expectations and attitude.
- Behavioral therapy (also knows as behaviorism, was designed to change how people acted)
These two types of psychotherapies were combines together to create an even wider range therapy Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
It is of extreme importance to have some sort of relaxation or “anti-stress” strategy that is accessible to us whenever we need it. In this area, calmness and peace are the main goals.
Cognitive behavior therapy in Edinburgh show that the more your brain is relaxed and quiet, the easier it if for the therapeutic treatment to give effect. This is simply another easy way to let the therapy reach your brain and gently sink in to help you achieve your relaxation.
The main focus is on peace and calmness. You should not focus on decreasing anxiety by using these methods. This is because peace and calmness become a little stronger, they tend to “over crowd” out the fears and anxieties we have. Therefore, you never need to focus on the anxiety, the nervousness, or the fear. Your focus would be on healing, and inner peace healthiness.
